The Monarch Space Systems Internship Model
Internships at Monarch Space Systems are structured by formal track, embedded within operating divisions, and governed by defined deliverables and institutional compliance frameworks. Participants contribute at a professional level consistent with aerospace prime contractor environments. Projects are aligned with the current development stage — internships are competitive but flexible.

Internship Tracks
Six structured tracks aligned to active institutional priorities. Tracks evolve with company growth. Participants are placed based on academic background, technical fit, and program requirements.
Aerospace Systems
Foundational research and analysis supporting spacecraft architecture, mission design, systems integration, and verification within formal engineering governance frameworks.
Ideal Background
Aerospace, mechanical, or systems engineering with strong analytical foundations.

Cleveland, OH (preferred); limited remote eligibility.
Propulsion & Energy Modeling
Computational and experimental support for advanced propulsion architectures including nuclear, electric, and plasma-based systems. Thermal-fluid modeling and performance simulation.
Ideal Background
Aerospace, nuclear, mechanical, or physics with propulsion systems coursework.
Location
Cleveland, OH (preferred); limited remote eligibility.
Materials & Additive Manufacturing Research
Materials science research, additive manufacturing process evaluation, and the institutional manufacturing readiness pathway. Supports transition from computational modeling to physical fabrication.
Ideal Background
Materials science, chemical engineering, or manufacturing engineering with laboratory experience.
Location
Cleveland, OH (primary). Physical laboratory access may be required.
Simulation & Computational Physics
AI-enabled engineering workflows, computational simulation environments, and institutional intelligence platforms. Work conducted under AI governance oversight and data governance standards.
Ideal Background
Computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or physics with simulation or AI/ML experience.
Location
Remote eligible; Cleveland, OH preferred for deep integration assignments.
Policy & Space Systems Strategy
Governance frameworks, export compliance, ethics, environmental stewardship, and strategic acquisition research aligned with DoD, NASA, and federal contractor standards.
Ideal Background
Law, public policy, international relations, or systems engineering with technology governance focus.
Location
Remote eligible (U.S.-based). Security and compliance screening may apply.
AI & Modeling Integration
Enterprise intelligence, program execution support, capture readiness, and institutional scalability. Supports AI-enabled operational workflows and performance analytics.
Ideal Background
Systems engineering, data science, business, or technical program management.

Cleveland, OH or Remote (U.S.-based, subject to eligibility).
Academic Integration
Monarch Space Systems collaborates with academic institutions worldwide to align internship placements with academic program requirements. Research collaboration pathways will scale with company growth.
Capstone Pathways
Internship deliverables may be structured to support senior capstone or thesis requirements, subject to university approval.
